Brand
How GoDotWebs, the brand was created. And the assets.
The Story Behind the Brand Name
First of all, GoDotWebs has nothing to do with GoDot. It is just a coincidence that the name is similar. Before creating GoDotWebs, the founder did not know GoDot existed.
We took the inspiration from GoDaddy, and usually a domain is structured like "name.TLD," so we came up with a simple idea,
GoDotWebs.com
[go (Name) + . + webs (TLD)]
The Story Behind the Logo & Font
SimpleWebs, the former GoDotWebs, has a logo consisting of two thunderbolts transformed from two chevrons that indicate coding (<>). Then we kept the original idea of incorporating coding into our logo, and we want it to imply safety, security, and stability, so we made the logo two brackets combined as a chain. Then, to be playful, we added an eye to one of the brackets. Use your imagination to think what creature it is!
The font we use for our logo is Playfair Display, and the font we use for our other texts is Inter. We wanted the brand to be modern and mature. Combining stability with novelty.
